Fast growing plants / trees.

Could anyone tell me the names of any plants / bushes / trees that grow tall and thick quickly? I want to create a boundary in front of a fence. Thanks.

The ash (Fraxinus exelsior) I s one of the fastest growing native trees, poplar is probably faster but should be avoided anywhere near buildings. For good burgler proof shrubs pyracantha or berberis grow thick and thorny.

Dont buy leylandii, it grows to 60 feet and sucks out moisture. nor clematis montana rubins or Alba they will swamp you.
Try Rosa Rugosa incredibly thorny fast growing rose which makes an inpenitable barrier white or pink fragrant flowers and big red berries/hores in the winter, can you say hore on this site?
Do they need to be evergreen? What is quick in your mind.
You could also tey bamboo but plant it in containers in the ground as it spreads quickly.
Paint the fence green of paint it a dark colour and then paint foliage on it.
