16d Is the punctuation mark that might indicate a sudden break in thought en dash or em dash? I have e? dash. I am inclined to em dash as it's longer than an en dash. I am clearly having a riveting Bank Holiday!

En dash
I favour em dash, but would welcome other opinions
Just checked Collins and both are there.
I am going for em dash as it actually sounds as if there is a pause in thought eg I think it might be, em, ....em dash
Here we go again, I am still angry about TENDRILL from last week
En is half the width of em, surely both are acceptable.
I have EM dash - I think en dash has a different meaning
see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Em_dash#Em_dash it gives the all important "break in thought" definition.
a quick blast on google confirms that em dash is correct

I too prefer the em dash because in this link

http://www.irelandinformationguide.com/test/index.php/Ireland_Information_Guide:Manual_of_Style_(dashes)

it describes the em dash as a break in thought.
