Front page Edinburgh Evening News......Third Man Held in Pub Killing! This relates to a shooting in an Edinburgh pub a few weeks back, in which one man was shot dead and another wounded....the result it seems of a family feud!!

Can't remember the headline but it was about a boy down the road from me who hung himself the night before last, passer's by found him in a nature reserve. That's in the Oxford Mail.

That people who feed the pigeons by the local shopping centre are being threatened with an ASBO by the centre manager. An expert on pigeons says that won't stop it as the feeders (generally old aged pensioners) will "go underground" and change their feeding patterns to outfox the centre manager. The expert has offered his services for a more "Holistic" answer to the problem. Its a tough part of the country here!!

The biggest thing in my area was on Thursday,when an explosion during the night from a nearby chemical plant in Billingham rocked the area,making some believe the whole was going to go up with it. Of course,it was the big headline in the Middlesbrough Evening Gazette and the Hartlepool Mail.

Yet,the first I knew about it was at 730am on the BBC Radio 2 news. I must have been sound asleep.
