Music Journalists Wanted - Can You Help?
Please forgive the shameless plug...
For the past few months I've been involved in setting up a new music website and we're almost ready to launch. We are now looking for contributors to come on board and give it the final push.
We have four main sections at the moment - album reviews, "buried treasure" album reviews (older records or those that slipped off the critical radar), feature articles and live reviews. We've also got a forum and some interactivity so that users can comment on reviews, register on the website if they wish, and so on. In future we'll be looking at newsletters, podcasting and - in the more distant future - encompassing films and literature into the website, too.
We're trying to be as broad as possible - we don't just want to write about the music we like - to give the website a credible spread of artists (we have so far covered Neil Young, the Flaming Lips, the Charlatans, the Zutons, the Vines, Pink, Secret Machines, Calexico and Gnarls Barkley amongst others, and will be reviewing the new albums by Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Raconteurs, TV 0n The Radio and Keane - and many more more). We already have a database of PR contacts and whilst we cannot pay contributors, we can offer free CDs and gig tickets and the chance to build your own network of contacts, contributing directly to the site via a content management system.
If you're interested in getting involved, please drop me a line to [email protected] with some samples of your writing.
Feel free to have a look at the site as it stands:

Thanks, and apologies for the plug ;-)
