Could 'the second one' relate to the second clue? falls suggests 'tumbler' to me.

Thank you dinkypuzzled for your thoughts, which have certainly given me something to work with.
There are 46 clues/questions in this quiz and the second clue was: Plural letter plus a deep hole - which gives S-AND-PIT, so I do not think there is a connection with the clue on which I am stuck. I have been thinking around the second letter of the alphabet, but nothing dawns, so I like your suggestion of TUMBLER. I currently still have no idea as to what the remainder of the clue refers.

Keyboardix,here is a clue to help. I think second one does refer to alphabet,then think of what falls wet,put the two together and get something to do with mind. This isn't a container like box or pot etc,but it contains what all we quiz people should have! Hope this makes sense to you. have you got clues for 9 or 19? i can't do these two.best wishes Evsajo

Excellent advice evsajo and thank you - I have the answer now and the clue makes sense.
My suggestions for:

are
