HI

Can anyone recommend any games you can play with just your memory. We play one where you have to name a country and the letter that it ends in has to be the start of the next country and so on, also i spy and things you dont need a board or cards for?

..." I went to the shop, and I bought... toothpaste, then the next person adds something " I went to the shop and bought toothpaste, and strawberry jam"...and so on until you have a huge list, variations are " I went on holiday and packed" " I went to the bar and bought" ...you can make it as easy or as difficult as you want....
I used to play a game just like your country game, only with first names. We were only allowed 'proper' names, not abbreviations, so you were allowed Peter not Pete, Amanda not Mandy.
We used to play the Alphabet game.
Pick any subject, fruit veg, boys names girls, names, countries, rivers etc etc etc work yourr way through the alphabet and just take it in turns to have a go. Great fun.
...if you are going on a long car journey we used to play a game called "knock knock ring ring"...it's very good for amusing youngish kids....every time you spot a post box the first person to shout out " knock knock" gets a point and "ring ring " for a phone box..... (not very good on the moterway though)...

...we also used to play the car colour game everyone chooses a different colour , each car that comes towards you in your chosen colour you get 1 point (car transporters don't count...hmph pesky little brother, still havn't forgiven him that one, all of 30 years ago now!)....
We play a variation on ermintrude's game - "I went to the Zoo and saw an Anteater (animal beginning with A), the next person "saw an Anteater and a Bear", etc. I don't think we have found one beginning with X. As she says you can have many variations on this.
