By deduction the 1st is opposite the 15th - so there are 13 between 1st & 15th and so 13 between 15th & 1st.

So 13*2 plus 1st plus 15th = 28
I agree with Dsg in that there are 28.

I would solve it a little differently. Picture the usual clock face with its 12 numbers. Note that 12 and 6 are opposite as are 1 and 7. In fact, all "Opposites" have a difference of 6 (= half 12).

Since 6 and 20 have a difference of 14, which doubles up to 28, there must be 28 children in the circle.
Gosh. I wish I had a mathematical brain. Well done you two.

Thankyou for your answers I had worked it out to 28 but wasnt sure I was right(Oh ye of little faith)
