I am always grateful for any help received and I try not to abuse what is a very helpful site. Most ABs share their knowledge freely - you know who you are - and this is much appreciated and I always rate the answers and thank everyone personally. I do feel a little upset to be put down on the site. If people do not want to answer a question then they don't have to. It makes me feel awkward about asking for help in case I've missed a previous answer. My situation means that I am not able to use the site every day. Please tell me if I have misread the terms of the site.

I'll give them a good scratch for you. I suppose it is someone telling you that 'This has been answered before etc etc . Oh so what if it has. Many a time I have just searched the site for someone and the answer has come up straight away. I do it because I want to and I like to help. I don't tell them off because they didn't look themselves. If it annoyed me that much I should just not reply. It took me ages to learn about threads, search the site etc so I can't be the only one. I know it's hard and probably hurtful but just ignore them.I don't think anyone has been rude to me, yet, but I'm sure I would be upset aswell. Why can't we just answer what we like and not answer what we don't like, if that makes sense !
I love this site and enjoy all the gossip and banter that goes on. It's supposed to be a bit of fun so lets all try and keep it that way before I run out of claws lol Keep your chin up gg. I for one think you contribute a lot to the site
xx

This site doesn't vet potential members which means that anyone can join and does. Inevitably that means that there will be clashes once in a while. Just ignore the occasional dud post - go by the majority. Most users on this section are supportive and helpful most of the time, but even the good guys can have bad days. Stick around a keep asking your questions. Without questions there will be nothing to answer.
Hear, hear earthakitten.
I sometimes put "someone answered this before" - just so that I don't take credit for it!
Sticks and stones................ and who cares what other people say anyway.
As long as you get the answers that you need - with an explanation if possible - then that's fine.
It all keeps the grey matter ticking!

The problem is that when you post a question, it searches for the words you put in the "Question Title" box and not what you wrote in "What is your question" box. so as far as you'd have known no-one else had asked the question already.
I looked back and seen someone reply to one of yir questions telling you to put the question in the "Search the site" box. I've been on here since Feb last year and I'd not think to do that.
Just you keep asking yir questions and the more often you use the site, the more you'll get into the habit of asking as many questions in the one thread.
Folk seem to forget that they were new once...

I love it when I get a thank you!
Again I point out when an answer has been given before - I do get irritated when a question is asked 3 or 4 times in an afternoon - if people read the options before posting I'm sure they would see it.
I do love answerbank -there's never a dull moment and now I have used the site for several months I feel i have got to know a few people. Shaneystar is my favourite ABer - he answers a lot of my questions although for a long time I thought he was a girl!!!

granny grump I also went back and read the post which has upset you. I have noticed recently that the person concerned has taken to making tetchy comments .
You should remember though that that person is the exception and the majority of ABers are courteous and helpful people.
Don't let it get you down. Best wishes K
