EG 17A .Japanese aboriginal.They want a four letter answer ,but there are 9 squares in the grid.

Yes ,the prizes do vary a bit !

Quizmonkey - the new grid is now available and not only were the numbers/squares out of order but there were some squares not blocked out making it truly difficult. Now we have no excuse for not getting the whole puzzle workerd out.

JRB: I repeat, ONE square was not blocked out (in the 5th row). That was all. People are making a fuss over nothing - ignore the numbers and it was a regular crossword.
