my bathroom suite is in good condition but pale pink! the bath is enamel. Is it possible to paint it with specialist paint & if so, has anyone tried it and does it give a good finish?

cheers hayley (trying to save some cash!)

You can paint your enamel bath. Here is an example of the products on the market, and the cost:

I have never done it though.
Oh please don't attempt it. I have the patience of a saint and really prepared the bath well but the result was just awful. Specialists have special lamps for drying and work very quickly so getting a smooth run free finish

Please listen to Sherry 1. Do not attempt it. It can not be done.
All you will do is waste time and money and it will end up looking a lot worse than it does now.

Enamel in a powder form is fused on when the metal bath is pulled out of the furnace and is still red hot. Once the bath is made the process can not be duplicated.

Many firms advertise re surfacing baths but you will never get the same finish as a new one..

Go on, invest a few bob, a metal bath will last a long time if it's looked after. And you won't regret it.
My parents had a company come in many years ago to paint theirs. The bath and sink came up a treat but the paint started to wear off the loo. I thought they made a pretty good job otherwise.

I have a cast iron bath that I re-enamelled with a kit from Tubby? (I think) and the results were very good. Try it!
