accomodation in fiji
Im budgeting for a big trip next summer where we've planned 1 week for fiji. accomodation is looking expensive and i wondered what peoples experiences were of booking accomodation when they arrive and how much it costs - beach huts or hotels. we'll be going in september.

I'm just back from a round the world trip, which included a full week in Fiji. We stayed in the Outrigger on the Lagoon and booked through Trailfinders.
However, when we arrived at Nadi International airport we were met be a representative from Rosie Travel - http://www.rosiefiji.com/ - who Trailfinders had used. They were extremely professional and had a large, busy office in the arrivals lounge. They were also the ones who organised our return hotel transfers, and can also offer tours of the main and outlying islands.
If we were to return, we we=ould definitely go to them first.
Have fun planning your trip - it'll all be worth it!
