I live in ohio in summit county. Can anyone tell me where to look or a web site to go to for info. I want to make an offer on a house, that has been empty for over two years and is bank owned. It has a septic system and well water also an oil furnace with a buried tank. I've gone the standard route trying to find info on the tank sizes, the type of leach and well and no one can tell me much at all. Standard records seem to be missing this info. Can you help, thanks

The county or other political division that has the responibility for water quality probably issued a permit for the original well and septic system. Usually, those have to be described in the application documents. These may avialable unless the house is quite old... say more than 60 or 75 years. Can the previous owners help you with information? Best of luck!
