Sorry for delay (emailing son in far-off climes). Think of an abbreviation for detectives (3 letters) plus two letters for first class - well a letter and a number really! Then think of the name of the people who are in a court. Put all that together and you should get the answer - think my hints are more difficult than the crossword!
