Many thanks so far Argee2 and kayakamina. Whoever set this quiz certainly has a sense of humour. Those answers - otter and whippet made me laugh..... so obvious when you know but I wasn't thinking along the lines of dropping my aitches as in 'otter..... Just goes to show you should think of the sound, not the spelling.

Not sure that pig iron is correct, as have pig as answer to male bore.

Fraudster I thought of cony (as in con, but not sure about the y, but cony is a horse or pony I think) What do you think?

Argee2's 'pig iron' sounds right to me, quizstruck. How about 'drone' for the male bore - a drone is a male bee and boring people drone on.

Yes, it is the one with the bright red and blue rear! The only one which I am not 100% sure of is the fraudster.
