Passport Delivery
Hello
I am going away on 28th September 2006 and have just realised that mine and my boyf's passports are out of date. They ran out this year when I thought was next year.
Does anyone know if I get them sent off this Saturday will I get them back in time? Also does someone have to be in when they are delivered?
I am also going to struggle getting someone to sign them as I dont know any teachers, judges etc so could I get my manager at work to sign them?
Sorry about all the questions but this is the first time I have done this. The last time my mum arranged it all :)
Thanks in advance for any help
Rebecca

If it is a passport renewal, you need to take your old passport with you, and if you resemble your picture in your old passport, you don't need to get your new pictures counter-signed.
You need to ring the passport office for an appointment.

If you send them off this weekend they would probably get back on time but you can't rely on it.
Best bet is to make an appointment at your nearest passport office and go for the one week guaranteed service - quite a bit cheaper than the same day service.
IIRC you don't need signatures - definitely not on the photos if the old one is still recognisable
