Sending attachments

I seem to be unable to send e-mails with attachments on my home computer. I use outlook express, and the ISP is Wanadoo. Ordinary e-mails, no problem, but attach a jpeg (for instance), and after coming out of OE, McAfee comes up with a window saying 1 message failed to send - 'server error'. I'm reluctant to check with Wanadoo (unintelligable sub-continental call center). Has anybody got any ideas?
TIA. Shaun.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.It could be the following: Most AV programs that provide scanning of outgoing messages work by appearing to the e-mail program as though they are the e-mail server. So, OE sends the e-mail, which is intercepted by the AV program and this doesn't take long. The AV prog scans the attachment and then starts sending it to the REAL e-mail server. This takes longer. If you have OE set to "Hang up when done", OE disconnects before the AV program has finished sending. The simple answer is to ensure that OE is not set to hang up, and don't close OE until you know that all e-mails have been sent (I don't know about McAfee, but most AV progs have a system tray icon that tells you the status of the outgoing stuff)
Thanks rojash - I thought at first that was it, but McAfee system tray says its a 'server error'. OE doesn't hang up until I want it to, so I dont get the AV message until I actually log OE off.
I guess there must be some setting that forbids sending attachments, rather like the one you can use to stop receiving them - but its got me baffled...!
CSG - I cant find the e-mail address either. As for the chap you spoke to - perhaps he was in Birmingham...(LOL)

Hi CSG. I was trying to subltly joke about someone from Birmingham being as understandable as someone who comes from Bombay, without causing offence...
Mind you, thats almost impossible these days on AB!
(I've written Bombay instead of Mumbai, cast aspersions on the Brummage accent, probably spelt something wrong, and I still can't send a picture with an e-mail. Can't win!)
