I am looking for a website that will show ie town streets. Most that I can find, provide only small windows with little scope for full page. Because we may relocate, I'd like to be able to "see at a glance" things in perspective.

I'd also like to be able to enter two places to establish distance.

Have you tried 'Google Earth'. I am sure if you click onto this site you will find what you are looking for.
Or even Google Maps...

You can tap into Microsoft Virtual Earth for both road maps and close-in aerial views if you go through the UK Campsite website.
Click http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp? revid=3855#maphere to try it out.
You can view places world-wide if that takes your fancy.
Not too sure about measuring distances between two points.

Thanks again. As we MAY be moving next year, I wanted to equip myself with as many maps etc as might be usefull when we start researching locations.
