As much as I dislike having to ask for assistance on GK crosswords, I only found this crossword this morning and need to post it tonight, so can't afford to research much longer. Almost finished but stuck in top corner.
14a 2nd Foot, later the Queen's Royal Regiment (West Surrey) (6,5).
8d Patripassians (8).
Also and lastly 40d Muslim centre of pilgramage in Uttar Pradesh (6).
I have most of the letters for these answers but still unable to finalise. Would not be asking if there was more time available ............. many thanks.

Thanks JimJools, yes they are the ones I needed. I had to try to complete the crossword in � day owing to other commitments and the closing date for entries.
It's an interesting puzzle and I can now look forward to spending more time on the next one and be able to complete it in a more relaxed manner.
