Stuck on the story section of quiz, the missing words are birds -
and he did a _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ in prison. (did wonder if it was a something STINT in prison?)

And became Yorkshire highboard champion, a sort of
_ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _

Have to admit I haven't foun d a notch bird in any of my dictionaries, and anyway I think Mr Bland would have written that Lin had lost a couple of notches from her belt, not her waist. I can see why you are not sure of the answer, but then Mr Bland has done this twice in the quiz because strict ly speaking STORK should be "TORK". I hate it when it becomes too pedantic, it spoils the quiz, but then you have won a prize in a previous quiz, and I haven't, so I bow to your answer. Unless somebody else comes up with an answer we are happy with!
PS is there such a plzce as "Sparrowshaw"?
