Expiry dates on threads?

Would it be possible to put expiry dates on threads so they are automatically deleted after this date? I look at the Quizzes and Puzzles section a lot but find, particularly at the weekend, people are asking for answers to crosswords. I don't mind this in the slightest but I find it soon pushes other questions down quite a few pages Another reason for putting an expiry date on a thread is so that you're not trying to help somebody with an answer only to find the closing date for the particular quiz has gone.

Another alternative may be to have sub categories under Quizzes & Puzzles for each newspaper or magazine.

I don't understand why you don't class crosswords as important as any other type of quiz? Or did I read your post wrong???

Also don't think your expiry idea is a good idea (sorry!) as AB's policy is that any question can be accessed at any time (via the Search facility) for future reference- impossible if it's been removed.

And you can't possibly have a subsection for each newspaper and magazine which features quizzes, it'd run into hundreds!!!

Having sub-categories for each newspapre or magazine would not work. As BOO says, there would be too many of them.

As is is, so many people put their crossword questions in what they think is an appropriate section rather than into Quizzes & Puzzles (where they should be). If they are then reported as being in the wrong section, how would ABed know which puzzle they were from?
