Owing to the unforseen (unauthorised?) absence of our esteemed founder (ShamrockBlue) today, who has asked that we keep alive the quest for three stars for correctly predicting the links from todays dtgk crossword with Mondays Hercules, this posting may be used for your entries.
We wish him well on his 'away day' ...... whatever he may be up to. Questions may have to be asked on his return!!

This is new to me sarumite!

What's the general idea?

ShamrockBlue founded this twist on the Herculis links competition a few weeks ago. Thie idea is that you try to guess which words will appear in the shaded squares in Monday's Herculis crossword, linking with those in today's DTGK. So far after three (I think) attempts no-one has got all 4 correct so far but ab-ers never give up!

Hi Crofter, as you are probably aware the telegraph offers a GK crossword on both Saturday and the following Monday, with a requirement to link the answers to four (shaded) clues from the Saturday with four on Monday, e.g.
Post Office, Tread Mill, Carte Blanche etc. etc.
Recently, on more than one occasion, they have failed to 'highlight' the shaded clues which led to considerable comment on this site.
Subsequently, it was suggested by ShamrockBlue that following each Saturdays crossword we could predict each of the link words to be printed on the Monday.
After perhaps 4-5 weeks this has now escalated with approx 30 entrants seeking the three stars to be awarded to the outright winner. As yet this has not been achieved!!
