I'm not sure what crossword I'm doing as just get it over the net from friend. I think it's the Sunday Express. I need 18 down: Name given to escaped convicts living in Australia. ??s??a??e?s.
It's not from today's Express S Mag. which is the only one I attempt. I've had a look at the other crosswords in the Express newspaper - The Crusader and the Skeleton and I couldn't see that clue. In fact, it has a ring of familiarity from many weeks back!! Are you doing it for fun or to enter?
Just for fun as I can't enter from Canada.
I did wonder which crossword I was doing as I saw requests for other answers and they didn't jibe with my crossword. My 1 across is Hornbills and 1 down is Handicrafts. 3 down Insulin and 4 down Sleuths.
Just received it this morning (our time) so presume it is current. Do those clues ring any bells for you?
Thanks
Just checked email and now have current crossword with clue 1 down moneylenders etc.
He sent a back number. I did wonder why nobody else's clues were the same as mine.
Anyway, sorry for the bother and thanks for your help.
I'm a bit of a horder so save all the Sunday Express crosswords, I've done for the last 12 months.
You're doing The Sunday Express Magazine crossword for Sunday June 18th, as you say 1a is Hornbills and 1d is Handicrafts, 18d is Bushrangers.
