Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Doc has had fun with some really off-beat words, the unclued lights buried somewhere in Chambers (2003). They are unrelated but all "have also recently made front-page news". Don't want to spoil the fun, but once you've got the others would appreciate any ideas on what unclued 31d might be - I've got -I-K-E, which leaves a lot of scope. Thanks.

The answer you are looking for is kinkle.
Apparently they are all words featuring on the cover of the new edition of Chambers dictionary 10th edition.
There's an article in the DT -- if you Google some of the words you should find it ( and confirm your other answers ! )

By the way what is the answer to 41 ac ?

Tks Ulysses - I thought there was a link to the 10th ed launch, but hadn't quite twigged it. In answer to yr question, a Scottish usher is a MACER.

Thankyou for this pjwillcox -- it saves me trawling through the dictionary looking for all the possibilities ! It wasn't a very nice clue, and it still took me a few seconds to work it out.
