Welcome to the site fluffypup...if you want to post a thank you, which is kind and very welcome!!..all you have to do is post an answer to your own question..it then stops you having to start a new thread. Try it on this thread, answering yourself to see. Good Luck with your puzzles!
Paulineward. Forgive me for asking, but, if fluffypup wants to send thanks to you, does that mean that you have to be constantly going back to the site, or is there some other way in which you can become aware that a message has been sent to you?
You may also be able to answer a question about deletions. It seems that questions and answers just keep accumulating. Is it only the editors who can delete, or is there any way in which individuals can do a tidy-up?
Sorry if I'm being a nuisance, but I get no reply from A/B when I ask.
You are very welcome fluffypup and welcome to the site. I hope that you enjoy it.
Muffet...Hi...sorry been off line for a bit. Most people tend to send a thanks almost straight away, so the recipient would see it pretty soon anyway, and I think people sometimes go back on to 'threads involved' in to take a look..I know I do!! But maybe I'm just nosey!! As for questions or answers being deleted, I am not too sure what happens sometimes, as a reply was posted on a thread I was on, on Saturday and later it was gone, which made my answer look senseless!! I know that if a posting is reported 3 times it is took off, and the Ed can do what she likes!!!
I don't know about deleting any for a personal tidy up...I think we are just stuck with them.
I also get no replies to queries...so welcome!!! We still have fun anyway...and there are a lot of lovely people on here! Good Luck...and happy ABing!!!
Thanks, Paulineward (Sorry if P or Pauline would have done). A/B is great fun - a terrible consumer of time, of course.
I've been curious about the two things, and wondered whether the purpose of "subscribe to question" was to make that person, and not just the originator, aware of any future contributions to the thread. In that way, you would become aware of any 'thank you's.
Regarding the ability to delete, it seems that the site must risk getting clogged up, if it still holds all the questions and answers from way back.
No need to reply. You've been very helpful.. Many thanks.
