I'm a Storyteller.....
9 Answers
Does anyone remember the show that was on years ago (1980's) and the theme music went along the lines of 'I'm a Storyteller, and my story must be told'....... I loved that show but can't remember what it was called. It was probably something like 'Storyteller' or 'I'm a storyteller' but I can't find any reference to it anywhere on the web. It was basically a show which told the story of a different character each week and was narrated by a storyteller. I don't actually remember there being any spoken words by the characters themselves. It was so well done though.
Any ideas anyone?

The narrator was John Hurt and it was produced by Henson's, and featured a lot of work from their creature workshop. Some episodes are available on Region 1 DVD, but the disc is an RCE one.
From what I remeber this was European with voices dumbed over the top but most of it was done by naration. There titles were as described above with drawings of a bloke in a sort of robin hood outfit but not green and playing one of those small Guitar things. I think it was called "Storyteller" and it was on ITV.
Wow! I know this post is over a year old, but my sister and I were discussing this exact TV show tonight! I decided to come home and do a net search and I found this website! I am from Australia and we had the show too. For some reason I seem to think it was Scandinavian in origin. Let me know if you come across anything about it. Cheers, Hayley
