Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

I assume they are somewhere in Whitacker's Almanac? When I find them I'll let you know, but it's early days yet.

I have one of the answers - what's the form on here? Do we give outright answers or hints? I'm struggling on some of the other questions too.

I have about half of the answers so far. I am willing to supply answers for some of the postings you make, but not all !!!

I'm not doing the puzzle at all so don't really know what you're after, but I can think of a hint for Silk and Thread and that would be 'The other type is good to find in one's garden.'

No, ontarioice, it doesn't seem to be that - not really the sort of thinkg Whitaker's covers.

Doog, I'm not sure I understand your reply - "some of the postings you make" - that was my first post for many months; you seem to be implying that I've been asking for all the answers.

Anyway, I have the answers to two of the ones you have asked about, and all but four of the rest of the quiz, so I am happy to do some answer swapping if it is considered OK here.
