ww2 shell nosecone
0 Answers
I have a 5/6 ins shell nosecone manufactured in 1943 by Vickers Armstrong . My Mother worked there as part of the war effort & one of the Capstan Macinists converted 3 to moneyboxes for my Brother, Sister & I. Has anyone ever heard of any others in existence & would this be of any interest to a collector of militaria? The base unscrews to store coins & the slot to take old sixpences. It now takes 5p peices also. This is not an ad, just out of interest. Many thanks to the scientific minds out there. Hopefully. Nanny Hubbard.
