rabbit urinating in water bowl and problems toilet training
1 Answers
hi i have a rabbit who is about 15 week old now and have had him for 3 week . He is a indoor rabbit . when i first got the rabbit i didnt have a water bottle for him as it was coming in the post and was late . so i used another food dish and put water in it and he drank out of there then 4 days later when the water bottle came he wouldnt drink out of it and still doesnt now . This isnt really a problem apart from the fact he is weeing in his water bowl meaning he cant drink it so has no water to drink during the day . i have taken his wter bowl out but refuses to drink out of the bottle so had to put it back in
i really want to get him using a bottle again like he did in the pet shop. any advice please.
Also he isnt grasping tolet training that well. He has a bit litter tray with sawdust in but just seems to use it as a bed . i have tried putting his droppings in it to encourage him to do it in the tray but he does it all over the cage. He has another tray out side of his cage to use when he is out and he seems quite good at using this apart from a few accidents so how can i make him use the tray inside his cage as a toilet and not a bed . any mor advice
thankyou people
