rcd circuit breaker prevent electric blanket electrocution?
2 Answers
My father is elderly 88 years old and has a infrequent accident of incontinence. There is an electric blanket on his bed which he likes to have on all night at a very low setting. (The blanket has a setting for this- 12hr). There is a mattress protector over this which is waterproof. I have connected a rcd circuit breaker between plug and wall socket to improve safety. Can anyone tell me if this rcd circuit breaker (commonly used with power tools) prevents electrocution completely if liquid were to be spilled on the blanket.? Thanks for reading.
