Sickness - neagtive pregancy test.

Hi Everyone,

I've been really ill for the past two weeks. Vomiting constantly. Just read LucyD's thread about Gastric Flu which i thought could be a possibility but the symptoms dont seem match up...

My initial thought was (oh $hit...pregnant), did a test which came back negative...*phew!*

My symptoms seem to improve in the evening...just usually when i eat during the day i immediately have to vomit, on the odd occasion i manage to eat a little something for lunch.

I've also totally lost my appetite at dinner time, only managing to eat a small portion of a standard meal.

Also got a swollen glands, mouth ulcers, feel tired and achey.

Recently split up with my boyfrend, so have been quite a bit more stressed than normal...

But it's the vomiting thats worrying me...

Any ideas?!?! I'm completely lost...!

it could be the winter vomiting bug. I had it last week, 3 days of being sick and bad tum and then 3 days to get back to a point where i could eat normal food without getting stomach pains or feeling sick.

Is your period late? if it is then take another pregnancy test but i reckon its more to do with the fact that you are run down and under stress that the bug isnt leaving your system.

a trip to the GP will also give you the answer, be warned they may require a sample for analysis in case its a nasty food poisoning.

Yeah my periods late - but i've never been one thats had regular periods.

I'm taking another test tomorrow to make sure.

If i miss my next period then i'll definitely go to my nurse/doctor to see whats going on...although i can't stand my doctors - they're ********** useless!

Its really odd, although like you mentioned i've heard about the vomiting bug...

a sickness bug can quite easily upset the regularity of you cycle. Take a second test tomorrow and if thats negative make an appointment with your GP for further advice.

I have also got swollen glands achey joints etc and not being able to tollerate or even fancy food seems to be what we are all experiencing.. It's so frustrating, it makes you feel weak and tired and that feeling of nausea is horrible..
