The herculis link words for our December (Week 2) challenge are now available, and are available via the undermentioned link where you will find them on page 4.
Details have been forwarded to crofter who will shortly be underway with his meticulous calculations to determine the state of play and this weeks celebrities.
well the one thing I was right on, was that I would get a big fat zero.Do I get any points for that???????? Hope others did better .
Here's to next week then
jan
point taken Tenter, I'd better hijack your 'monopoly' and doss down in Park Lane ... or will it be the Old Kent Road?? ... ah well off for breakfast now !
What a terrible game this is - but oh so addictive.!! Having been even later than usual at getting my suggestions together I thought that this week I'd be 'sensible' for a change, but that met with the same singular lack of success as my previous attempts to be original. Ah well, as every gambler would say, "next week I shall scoop the pool".
Many thanks to crofter and sarumite for perfecting this particular form of mental torture.
Just discovered I got two right - can't believe it. Yes, it's definitely addictive. I got more pleasure out of this than once getting runner up on the Telegraph General Knowledge. Not sure, but I think I was first with escape valve, tool
Keep going Zeros - With this sort of unpredictability you could be nothing one week and sweep the board the next.
kettledrum, I have to agree with you in that this little escapade is mightily addictive, and originality may or may not attract similar results to the most obvious choices.
Thank you also for your appreciation of the set-up, but have to say that crofter is the one whose considerable input enables this game to thrive.
ulysses100 ... there are numerous contenders (including yours truly) who could be in contention for such a trophy!
Zippy da do da!! I got one right!! but not unfortunately the first one to say escape valve. Thanks sarumite and crofter for thinking up this torture - it really is fun !?!?!
Hi pauline, you were certainly missed on Saturday as you are normally one of the earliest to post entry. Then saw your post ref other commitments ... hope all is ok.
