What are the clues?
Question Author
1. 52a Eggs served up in sauce or batter a three-letter word is hidden in the clue. I believe it starts with r and ends with e!!
2. 62d Where - enshrineth/His helpless infancy (S-R-W)
Roe?
Question Author
Thanks JimJools - but I can only find ROE if the letters in the clue are read backwards. Do you think this is right, then?
Well I can't see it any where else - Roe are fish eggs, they can be served in a sauce or battered.
62a could be STRAW if the clue is talking about the baby Jesus.
Yes it is Roe as given by JimJools, and it should be read backwards, hence the phrase served UP in the clue.

Straw also looks to be correct.
Question Author
ROE and SRAW it is, then. Jim Jools - thank you so very much for your help.
It should be a down clue which uses the indicator Up !

And thank you so much to you, too, Samurite.
