MM Links Game 2007 January [Week 2]

MM (Michael Mepham) was a master of a wide range of logic-based games. This week, the theme is precisely WHERE various games are played. This theme may well
connect the words for which links need to be found - they certainly do not connect the answers which you are required to predict.

Remember that my chosen words contain at least four letters and at most eight letters. This is consistent with the MM-style format.

I have decided to split this posting to slow you down and get you to read the preamble.

However, I suggest that you simply lodge your entry and leave the rules to the scorer!

The only thing that you need to check is that you don't submit EXACTLY the same four words as an earlier entry (although we even have a rule that covers that
eventuality)

The four words for which you need to predict will appear below at 9.00am.

Being male, I don't suppose you've ever had to live with one after you've beaten him at his favourite sport? :-)
We did have a bit of a barney about the words, but agreement was reached in the end.

Forgot to mention this with my last posting.
Did you move the closing date up by two hours?
I (J) had it in my mind that the closing time was 4:pm our time Sunday which would make it 9:pm your time.
Today you state 'closing time 7:pm.'

Moving the closing time, O-ice? Only from 6.00pm to 7.00pm - not (I think) FROM 9.00pm. to 7.00pm. The problem comes from fitting in a personal life when the closing time is rather later than 7.00pm.

If the 7.00pm closure of the Links Game ever presents a problem - then let me know! I am sure that we can sort something out

No problem. I just had it in my head that I could check at 4:pm Sunday. Actually, we can check at 2:pm. Lotsa time!

Hi Crofter,
Couldn't get near the shrubbery this morning for the rush - it was like waiting for the doors to open at Harrods on the first day of the sales! At least I've managed to get an entry in on Saturday this week for a change.

At the end of the first day a total of 44 entries have been lodged with various degrees of success. Hits have been intermittent with a bunch of 4 ABers jostling for position!

Taking the marks over TWO weeks, however, and there is someone who is pulling ahead of the bunch! Who?
You'll just have to wait and see.

I fully expect some later entries on Sunday before the game closes down at 7.00pm.
