hi i already posted this question in the animals and nature section but somebody suggested to post it here instead to get a more definate answer. does anybody know what the flowers might be in the bottom right section of this painting. wild rose seems to be the most common suggestion (thank you to everyone who said that!)

also any ideas on the type of tree just above the flowers would be quite helpful too. someone suggested that it was a walnut tree. i'm trying to look at symbolism and what differnt plants represent in victorian art but i'm not much of a natural horticulturalist so thanks for any help

Yes, I would agree entirely. The tree looks like a walnut (juglans regia) and the Rose (rosa canina) the common dog rose. Good Luck Tbird+
