I have a long train commute every day to and from work so i get through quite a few books.
can anyone suggest any decent books? i've recently been in to Jodi Picoult, Nikki French, Torey Hayden and Carmen Reid (and have read most of their books). can anyone suggest any books by any other FAB authors?
cant really suggest any, but thing is i've read all torey haydens books, jut luv her, and am waiting for her to write more. i seem to stick to one author at a time and seem to get withdrawel symptoms waiting for the nxt book lol.
I am not sure what type of books your authors write, but will try and find out as you say they are good. You could try the Womens Murder Club by James Patterson, 1st to Die, 2nd change, 3rd Degree, 4th July, 5th Horseman, you must read them in order. I read all five books in about three weeks (I only have a 5minute drive to work, so won;t take you long). Also for a bit of a giggle and a non-brainer, try Jill Mansell, Chris Manby, Jane Gree.
Do try an autobiography - 'Night song of the Last Tram' by Robert Douglas. Or 'Nab End' by William (somebody - can't remember). Both absolutely blooming great reads. Have a go, do.
I've just read a wonderful book by Sarah Dunant called "the Birth of Venus" - couldn't put it down- and can also recommend "A Short History of Tractors in Ukranian" by Marina Lewycka (very funny - not at all what the title suggests. Also all the Tracy Chevalier books (ie The Girl with the Pearl Earring)
well i dont know what kind of books you like reading but a great addictive read for me is jilly coopers rider, rivals etc books (im possibly her biggest fan and try and spread the word as much as possible!! kind of trashy but a great easy read that i can read over and over and over again!!
