Hi O-ice, just returned from evening meal and didn't realise there had been so much discussion on this thread ... thanks for fighting my corner.
May I suggest to Quizmonkey that he is sure of his facts before posting disparaging remarks on line!
Chambers clearly shows HIGHTH as an obsolete form of height, and it is not uncommon for such words to be included in crosswords.
Sorry couldn't make the club last week O-ice, as the doorman wouldn't let me in, he considered that my current score of two points in the MM league invalidated my membership!!
