Don't know if anyone has done a modern dance version but it wouldn't surprise me.
There was at least 4 Smurf music albums, including Go Pop!, Christmas Album, Go Pop Again! and Hits 97. As for the Smurf Song, there was techno remix that was popular on the rave circuit, and Tony Gigaloo's "Smurf Rock".
