Have solved all clues but has anybody worked out the location ( presumably somewhere in Scotland ) and the two means of approach?

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

There are seven items that can be preceded by Scotch.
To reach Scotland traditionally in the song is one to take the high road and the other to take the low road -- but I cannot find these references in the grid. Can you get any inspiration from this novalis ?

Thanks! Id got that far and I've looked in vain for cryptic references to the high and low roads. I'll keep on looking.

Work out what area of the grid all the Scotch answers are in and you have the location. The roads are not high and low but more mundane letter numbers combinations

Thanks gco2005 I managed to solve this earlier, when I saw that there were two A-roads hidden in the grid that diverge at about Newcastle. Sneaky !
