Making a cookery book

I have a huge amount of recipes cut from magazines etc, which I would like to collect into a cookery book on my PC.
Does anyone know of a programme which would enable me to scan these into my PC and then sort them into order? It could either be a purchased one or one I could set up myself using Word, Excel or Access
I would also like to be able to search the recipes for different foods, as you would a cook book.
Could I do this by just using a Word document?
Been trying to get my head round this but just keep getting a headache!
