Your question has just encouraged me to call up the lyrics for this while listening to the track - which I love as do I all Interpols material - whens there going to be a third album ????? But I digress - No it makes no sense -but I still love it !

I suggest you just enjoy the track and take it as just great poetry which will conjure up something different to everyone that hears it.

As an aside I'm still really p*ssed off that I went to an NME gig in Liverpool a few years ago and missed this band as we were sitting in the bar drinking, not having listened to their first album and not knowing what a great band they were.

I'm off now to Google what the band are up to !

The video to this was 25th in a poll of Yahoo's scariest music videos. The video shows a puppet going into hospital after a car accident and was directed by Charlie White. Hope this helps!
