I honestly dont think there is orange or purple but some American game can be different, have just had a thought! shall give one of the local clubs a ring and see what they come up with.

Miserable day here so I have not got out to get my magazine yet. Good luck
Question Author
thanks clare, bit of a confusing question, isn't it !
weather here is dull & grey, oh, will be so glad when summer comes :-)
Question Author
hmm, interesting peapod, so still am none the wiser, but it's got to one of them, gets more confusing by the minute!!
Could they be mixing it up with billiards there are both orange and purple. What about the game pool? I have not had any replies (I expect I've started a debate um!) I googled it but came up with what you have.
I shall come back later if I get a positive answer.
Question Author
same here, googled pool, billiards etc, rules of the games etc, everything under the sun but still no joy, will now fone my brother at the pub, haha, lets start a world debate :-D
Could it be white as that is the cue ball? --just a thought.
Question Author
hey maybe you've got something there, is white classed as a colour ?
I have a book on the rules which gives the colours and their points value and then mentions the cue ball separately.
In the book it just calls the white a "plain" ball.
Well if white wasn't classed as a colour then it couldn't be an option as it says "which colour" :). Other than that orange and purple are definately not colours of snooker balls. At least now a days im not sure if it was different when snooker was first invented. Is the question maybe cryptic or a brain teaser?
Question Author
gosh, this puzzle gets even worse! if i tick off the square that says white (assuming its the white ball) that gives me an equal finish of the no. 1 & no.4 horse,
am going to go through all the questions again one by one to see if i'm wrong somewhere !
Question Author
hi gorgeous, its not cryptic or anything , they give you a question then four answers to choose from, (alltogether 18 questions) each time you cross off the answer it gives a colour square relating to four numbers for one of the numbers to finish first, (hard to explain unless you see the puzzle) am going to go through them all again, will get there in the end, thanks
:-)
hi,
assuming only one horse can win I have number 1 the blue horse
as blue, aquarius, jackal, jerry hall, hats and bird will give 6 answers to take it to the end
jan
I have now got the magazine (thank you Uncle Con) and I like Jan1956 think the Blue (1) won. having said that I do not know the answer to the Monopoly question. I think the snooker is a misprint.

Hope you can relax now with a nice cuppa

P.S. I had a nice cheque from Full House a few weeks back, so I'm off to Glasgow and then Dublin.
Question Author
yes! you have confused me even more , lol, have been through them all again and reckon you are correct, gee thanks jan, you're great, thanks a million, :-)
congrats on the cheque clare hope you have fun,
the monopoly one is brown so the horse is green if you see what i mean

jan
