I think it must be silverhorn fly. Anagram of over ferny hills. But I could only find silverthorn vly when I looked it up so perhaps this is an alternative form of that

Hello Christiana, yes I'm sure you are correct, there is an insect called the "silverhorn caddis fly". A wee bit obscure this one as neither "Chambers" nor "Oxford" give it. thank you and well done.
