5d see how code is decoded having the key(7)
12a Trying to get a glimpse of the card (7)
19d Hide dope in the carved legs to get it in unseen(7) (Smuggle?)
25a Kid upset by fish (3)
Only 3 letters and if smuggle is right have got G?R and I still can't get it!

This is why I find cryptics so hard. I've never heard of Gar and couldn't see what it what it had to do with either fish or kid. I usually manage to complete it putting in the more obvious answers. Then using the answers other ABs ask and my trusty spellcheck and working backwards to see how the answers are arrived at. It ususally works and I feel that I am training my mind to see what the compiler wants, I've just looked up Gar - short for Garfish and I assume that rag is a synonym for kid - ie to make fun of ?

I will keep going and maybe just maybe I will understand Thank you all again

granny ..I also struggle at times with the Sunday cryptic .. find it far more difficult than the Saturday puzzle as a rule.
