Current leaders are evsajo & huggles with 6 points. They are joint favourites to take the title of "Hot Shot of the Month" and claim the right to set the link words throughout March. There are dozens of other entrants determined to stop them in their tracks.
Why don't you join us and pit your skills against the mighty ulysses, the evil wickedtongue, the dyslexic japanese warrior sarumite, the hopeless Dustybun and the eternal optimist, pauline(I'm gonna win!)ward.
Be there or be square!

Can't really face a night in the shrubbery but have set my alarm and laid out rain mac and face mask (to avoid Pauline's germs!) not to mention the trip wire. Thought of setting a few land mines for Sarumite and any copy cat aerial assaultists, but it seemed a little unsporting so relying on speed, skill and cunning - not much hope there then!.
Onward and upward (or something) Night all.

Ye Gods, I take some time off to finish my own little puzzle and have my breakfast and the world goes mad - now I know what the 'blimp' I saw last Saturday was - it was a 'flying sarumite' !!
wonder what he'll come up with tomorrow as he's now let the cat out, and the assault troops will all be there with popguns or bows and arrows - there'll be a nasty splatt to look out for then. oh dear, back to the drawing board again, sarumite.
trust all is well with everyone else, though I perceive rogerr may have a problem - be assured our thoughts are with you what-ever, even if no-one can really help.
Well it's probably time you lot all turned in to be ready for the frantic rush in the morning, so will wish you all goodnight, Steff
Better late than never.I have yet to find the shrubbery but am thinking of looking. Perhaps the people who help me with use of computer could give me some tips, although it does sound a bit crowded and also as if a uniform is necessary.I am staying up all night tonight in readiness for tommorrows words.Dear MUCH OLDER BROTHER,Burgess can't take part until about 10a.m. so must beat him!.I am so glad you suggested taking part in this, I really enjoy it,and reading all the messages.I think i am as mad as all of you but am still a bit shy!!!!!Good luck for the morning, and now for another black coffee.I will not go to sleep.
Must admit did have a quick doze sometime, and I don't feel as alert as perhaps I should. I really think i will have to pack my tent, find the shrubbery and use all my old girl guide skills to spend the night there.Have just tried the other link word and found the words very difficult. Hope todays are going to be easier, best wishes Evsajo
Thanks for the adjective crofter though I don't feel so mighty this morning. Have just crawled from my sick bed. I'll have to stop lurking in the shrubbery -- I must have caught something off Pauline last week ! Loads of coughing and lots of lovely phlegm (sorry for the gory details !). I just seem to be floating along. I think I'll have to start on the hot toddies early today -- it's the medicinal honey you know.
I hope that sarumite doesn't end up looking like St Sebastian as he falls from the sky with all those bows and arrows aimed up at him !

oh dear, ulysses, you don't sound at all well, but that'll teach you not to mess with Pauline - luckily my shrubbery is sufficiently far away that encountering generous souls like her doesn't become a health hazard !!!
definitely back to bed with you and keep the hot toddies coming - we might have to think up something stronger for sarumite though, he might just come down leaking all over everyone eeeuuuu or words to that effect.
hope you're on the mend Pauline, that sounded nasty.
