I know this isn't quite the right place to ask this, but I've seen Quizmonkey do this and I see they are on-line at the moment so -

When I post a pasted link - How do I change it to a word or phrase of my choice. It looks much more elegant !

Okay - Thanks for that !

Sorry about that - not quite sure what you mean - I'd help if I could.

Sorry - thought I was being ignored!

When you post a link such as -

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autoharp

I've seen people reduce the link to a phrase or word - so that'tt they'll type something like - You'll find the answer HERE - where HERE links you to the requested website.

I just wondered whether it is easy do or very techy.
I do know what you mean - but it can't have been me! No idea personally - perhaps it was Quizmonster?
Question Author
Yes, sorry it probably was !

I'd still love to know how do to it, though !

Just copy and paste the link . Put a < before the whole thing and a > after. Change the "text here" to anything you want to put.

replace #FFCCCC with the colour you want your background, and black for the font colour. If you want a larger font just alter 12px to a higher number. Don't forget < and > beginning and end.

a target='_blank' target='_blank' target='_blank' style="background: #FFCCCC;color: black;font-size: 12px;font-weight: bold; cursor: text;text-decoration: none;">TEXT HERE</a

label

There is tutorial on how to do it here

http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/ABTutorial.html

which probably explains better than I have done !
