2 Abutilon
(2) I wonder if this is THRIFT (plant) from SHRIFT (absolution)? If so, the clue could have been better.
2. Anagram of Abutilon +s gives you Ablutions, but cleansing of sins is Absolution?, which leaves a letter o over.
WTW ~ it was your answer that got me thinking. Note however that the answer has only 6 letters (I think)
crofter - It's the add an "s", rather than substitute an "s" that has me stumped.
(1) There is a Military Orchid
2. Got it! The plant is Spurge - (S)purge
Spurge. S+purge.
Good Clue! Excellent answers! Well Done!
