I quite agree! I have just found this website, for some other reason, and as this was such an intreaguing question, thought I'd see if anyone has got it. We think it's something to do with the Magic Roundabout, as Ermintrude used to carry a satchel. Please let me know if I'm close!

managed to work out 10. I was removing the good man from starving, and then getting nowhere.
finally realised where he should come from, and bingo.

Still trying to work out 9, is the anagram a cool bed?
