Yet another week has flown by and Saturday is here and we all know what that means !! Another cold, wet night in that wretched shrubbery and this time with some very strange aromas and a lot of giggling before 'lights out' - who forgot to put a new battery in the torch so we could at least have seen what it was we were eating ?? JimJools' sardines and beetroot won hands down - and I'm NOT saying what it was they won !!!
OK nuff of that nonsense, down to work and game plan as usual - whoever manages to complete the Saturday Crossquiz first and would care to post the link words on this site along with their own predictions, I'll be very grateful and not panic as I did last week - I wouldn't mind betting it just might be Aquagility who now that he doesn't have to get up, probably will and be the first on deck!!!
And continuing with the same game plan come Monday morning, some kind soul will do likewise with that days words and I'll get busy with my fingers and toes.
At the moment wickedtongue is still out in front with his maximum 10 points, but in hot pursuit is lysander with 5 points, closely followed by sarumite, paulineward, twosearch, devadiva and Shazza Hewat all with 4 points, so some good guesses this weekend could make all the difference.
So Good Luck everyone, I'll catch you all later - Steff
Just a suggestion . . for those of us who submit this crossword, it would make sense to delay posting it to Daily Telegraph until after Monday, when we should be able to firm up on KM's required answer for 24 down. Or am I stating the obvious??
;0)
Sorry, forgot to thank you, Aq. how did I know it would be you?
Heavens, sounds if a few are suffering this morning, what did you all get up to, last night ?? that sounds a lethal combination, Rob - I know not to try mixing my drinks - what were you trying to do to yourself ??
I'll have to be very gentle when scoring, keeping an eye out for dyslexsic double dutch and keeping the noise level down.
Quote from the Daily Telegraph today on the Bridge report .
" A dark and sinister menace lurks in the undergrowth "
Do you think they have been reading the AB game ?
