How can it rule out any king before James the First if Edward the Fourth was born in France and was a King of England only ?

What I meant by my last reply -doesn't make sense does it? - is this:
James I onwards were at least King of (both) England and Scotland. George II definitely last monarch born outside GB. Can see what Shaneystar means by Edward IV (Edward V - the next king - born in England), but did these monarchs also style themselves King of France (and did so up to William IV, I think)?
Sounds picky but it depends if you mean King of England (and nowhere else!)

Edward was never a King in France ..He was the second son of Richard Plantagenet who had a claim to the English throne When Henry V1 died Edward inherited this claim and was declared king in London in 1461 after a lot of argy bargy with the Lancastrians. and support from Warwick ..the King maker.
