a factory recycles paper. seven old sheets of paper are required for each new sheet. from 799 used sheets of paper, how many new sheets can possibly be made?

114, presumably, with 1 old sheet over. Unless this is some kind of trick question.

Could those 114 then be recyled ?

New sheets = 114, remainder 1

then 16 remainder 3

then 2 remainder 5

and then 1 final sheet from the remaining 7

Hence, 114 + 16 + 2 + 1 = 133 new sheets
